    Welcome to the weekend! My day started with a beautiful foggy drive, yoga, followed by a gorgeous brunch for my sons and their friends. This easy bacon, cheesy scrambled egg, and pile of fluffy waffles filled my stomach and left me smiling happily on my way to the synagogue or gym. (Yes, it seems like a teenage boy can eat a pile of waffles and then go straight to training. That’s not my world.)

    About this week’s blog: Roasted sausage with peppers and onions is not complicated. It’s not a fad. But this super easy Sausage & Peppers is 100% exactly that.

    You know that feeling. You probably have about 10 minutes before everyone starts asking for dinner, so you need something quick, hearty, and actually satisfying. That’s when I reached for this Southwest Chicken Soup. 10 minutes, friend. And yes, I timed it.

    Air Fryer Hasselback Potatoes prove that a little extra preparation goes a long way. What’s the secret? If you use a beef knife, it will take less than a minute. Packed with fresh Parmesan cheese and Italian parsley, the crispy edges are a hit with guests.

    This confetti rice is declared to be the best rice we have ever made. yes. I said so. I had it with Crispy Italian Oven Chicken and the whole meal went well.

    Have you ever tried mayonnaise cake? I get it, but it seems suspicious at first. In fact, chocolate mayonnaise cake is an old-fashioned recipe that you probably found in your grandma’s recipe box. And fortunately, it has stood the test of time well. This is a wonderful cake.

    Isn’t autumn the best season to make bread? Packed with rich, warm spices and topped with the buttery crunch of pecan streusel, this Pumpkin Crunch Dump Cake might be the easiest and most mouth-watering dessert to whip up in the oven this year.

    The mascarpone ice cream is smooth and rich, like gelato, but with a cheesecake-like flavor that makes you feel indulgent with every bite. This is not a copy of cottage cheese that you have to convince yourself is delicious. There is no coming back from such dreamy decadence.

    What I’m looking for: This Mac & Cheese with Salami looks so delicious! My mouth is watering and I want to eat that cheesy food today. My boys love salami any time they incorporate it into their meals, so I already know they’re going to love this combination.

    My favorite thing about this week is that it’s November. I love holidays very much. If you haven’t heard of my 4-day preparation for a stress-free Thanksgiving, check out my favorite 7-quart and 3-quart slow cookers. Both are on sale. (No, I’m not cooking anything in this. I’m just saving space in the oven for Thanksgiving.)

    What I’m listening to: Haters look away, it’s finally November. Today, as I’m baking holiday bread, Christmas music is playing. I have no complaints about my life today. Bing is chirping in my ear.
